Social Skills learned using drama include: Cooperation/Teamwork: Willingness to accept instruction with line delivery, setting up the stage, work together for a single purpose, and respect others involved in the production. |
Patience: Wait while others receive instruction in their various part in the production, stage set up. Allow themselves and others to make mistakes graciously. Community Service: Present the production for their community. Character Building: To learn that a small part in the production is just as important as a larger part. Accepting mistakes made on stage. Confidence: Developed by acting on stage in front of an audience, continuing on stage regardless of mishaps that occur during the production. Responsibility: Showing up at rehearsals on time, their lines memorized for each rehearsal, production jobs completed on time for each rehearsal. |
